Dear Host Family,
My name is Reuben Charles, and I am a 21-year-old from Oxfordshire, England. I am very excited about the opportunity to join your family as an au pair in China.
I come from a supportive family background and have always valued spending time with children, whether it’s looking after younger relatives or helping friends with babysitting. I enjoy being around kids because I find their curiosity and energy inspiring, and I love creating fun, safe, and educational activities for them.
I would also be very happy to share aspects of my culture with your children—such as English language practice, games, and traditions—while at the same time learning more about Chinese culture, daily life, and language. I am especially interested in this cultural exchange because I want to improve my Mandarin and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese customs and family life.
In my free time, I enjoy fitness, travelling, and exploring new cultures. I’m responsible, adaptable, and open-minded, and I believe these qualities will help me fit well into your household. Most importantly, I want to become not just a helper, but also a caring older brother figure for your children.
