As an au pair I worked with two families: one from Long Island, New York, and one from Denver,Colorado. With the family in NY I used to take care of two kids. One 2 yo girl with special needs, I used to play puzzles and read books for her. Some times we went to the park or just going out for a walk. The the other boy 4 y/old I used to take him and picking him up from school and play with his the rest of the day. We used to go out for biking or to go to the park. I prepared their meals and did their laundry. In Colorado took care of two boys (2 and 4 yo) I used to play with them mostly, prepare their meals going to the park, doing different activities like painting, building structures, doing role play, help with homework, taking care of them in McDonald's or any other kids play center. As a volunteer at the child care center I used to play with the kids, help them with homework or doing different activities like puzzles or reading or just taking care of them while there were playing. At the elementary school I sed to teach 2 different subjects in English, trying to design interactive and short activities so they didn't get distracted. Sometimes when we had class time left I took the students outside to play something funny son they could relax a bit. And at the High school I taught Japanese language to a mixed aged class (15 to 18 years old).

Hello Dear Future Host Family
My name is Sharon Yailin, I´m 28 years old, Istudied the English language teaching bachelor, and currently I'm working in a call center. I live in Mexico in a beautiful ancient town called Cholula in Puebla state.
I live in with my parents, older siblings, and my niece and nephew. My dad is called Roberto, he's 58, and he's a public transport driver. My mom's name is Martha, she's 53, and she has her own business of food selling. My big brother's name is Yabet, he's 35, and he's a lawyer. My sister Estefhany is 32 yo, she's a psychologyst. And the family kids are called Ivanna and Liam, they are 12 and 5 yo.
I'm a books lover and a huge fan of superheroes. I love to listening to music, going out for a walk, and learn languages. Spanish is my native language, I'm fluent in English C1, I know basic Japanese N5, and a little bit of French, Italian and Thai. I love asian languages, and nowadays I just started learning Chinese.
I like to play the guitar, singing, and traveling around the world.
From Nov 2024 to Nov 2025 I traveled abroad as an Au pair in USA, where i took care of american children in two different families, one in Long Island New York (2 yp girl and 5 yo boy ), and the other one in Denver Colorado (2 and 4 yo boys). My main duties we to take care of them, making their meals, picking up and dropping them off to school, taking then to the park or other kids funny playground center like McDonald's, eading book for them, helping with the homework, playing diferent activities like role play or, even, looking after them at bed time when the parents had a date.
In 2023 to 2024 I taught in a private bilingual elementary school teaching math and science to kids from 6 to 9 yo. When I wasn't teaching I took care of them, taking them to the nursery if needed, or taking them out of the classrom for a walk when they stressed or felt sad. Also I accompany them to their extracurricular activities sush as tae-kwan-do or hip-hop dance class.
I used to be a volunteer in a house for children taking care of kids from 4 to 11 yo. Usually, I played with them on the playground, took them to the bathroom, and helped them during dinner time. There were time I helped them to improve their skills by doing different activities such as memory games or coloring, or accompany them to their activities outside the house like soccer or the chorus.

I want to be an Au pair in China because I consider your country as my dream to be in. Besides, I like to be surrounded by kids, teaching them new things about the world and learning together. To see them growing up beacause I think it's such a special thing for me because they are so authentic.
Being an Aupair represents a scope and opportunity for my individual growth, and it'll be perfect to improve my Chinese language knowledge and performance while traveling to your country.
When I return to Mexico, I'd like to look for a job where I can use or teach Chinese or to study another bachelor such as hospitality and tourism.
