In my free time I enjoy staying active, creative, and connected with the people around me. I love dancing, going to the gym, and taking walks because it helps me stay healthy and positive. I also enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and exploring new places. Spending time with friends and family is important to me, and I really enjoy cooking simple meals and trying out new recipes. I also like learning about different cultures and languages, which is one of the reasons I am excited about becoming an au pair.

My responsibilities and activities with the children involved caring for two girls, Amoré (11) and Lelanie (5), and supporting them in their daily routines. I helped them get ready for school in the mornings, prepared meals and healthy snacks, and made sure they followed a structured and balanced routine. I assisted with homework, school assignments, reading practice, and any additional learning activities they needed. I also encouraged good study habits and helped them stay organized. A big part of my role was creating fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that supported their social, emotional, and cognitive development. With the younger child, I often played imaginative games, read stories, did arts and crafts, and encouraged creative play. With the older child, I helped with schoolwork, played games, had conversations about her interests, and supported her independence and confidence. I also organized outdoor activities, supervised playtime, and ensured both children stayed active and enjoyed their free time. Safety was always my top priority. I supervised the children closely, maintained a calm and supportive atmosphere, and made sure they felt comfortable, secure, and understood. I also taught them good manners, kindness, and responsibility in a gentle and positive way. Additionally, I helped with small household tasks related to the children, such as keeping their rooms tidy, organizing play areas, washing dishes after meals, and preparing their school bags and clothes for the next day. I communicated regularly with the parents about the children’s routines, behavior, progress, and any needs or changes. Overall, my role was to create a safe, loving, and structured environment where the children could grow, learn, and express themselves freely. This experience helped me develop patience, creativity, and strong communication skills while building a warm and trusting relationship with the family.

My name is Hanz Schwartz, I am 21 years old, and I am from South Africa. I want to thank you for taking the time to read my letter and consider me as your future Au Pair. It truly means a lot to me because becoming an Au Pair is something I am deeply passionate about and excited to experience.

I would describe myself as a friendly, responsible, and caring person who enjoys helping others and learning new things. I completed high school at Anker, and since then, I have been gaining experience working with children and preparing myself for the opportunity to live abroad. I come from a warm and supportive family, and I hope to bring that same kindness and respect into your home.

Over the past months, I have taken care of two girls—an 11-year-old and a 5-year-old—which gave me valuable experience with different ages and personalities. My responsibilities included helping with homework, preparing meals, organizing fun activities, supervising playtime, and supporting their daily routines. Working with them taught me patience, creativity, and how to create a positive environment where children feel safe, confident, and happy.

I want to become an Au Pair abroad because I love working with children and I enjoy watching them learn and grow. At the same time, I want to explore a new culture, learn a new language, and challenge myself in a completely different environment. I believe that living with a host family is the best way to understand another culture and build a strong connection through trust, communication, and shared experiences.

I will bring energy, patience, reliability, and a positive attitude to your home. I understand the responsibility that comes with taking care of children, and I will always prioritize their safety, happiness, and well-being.
