As a babysitter my main responsibilities are always the safety and happiness of the children. This means full supervision, helping with their daily routines like school pick-up, and assisting with homework in a patient way. I love organizing fun and creative activities with them, such as drawing, educational games, playing outside, and reading stories. I also make sure to communicate clearly with parents about our day. As an EnglishTutor my responsibility was to make learning English fun and natural for young children. I planned and led playful lessons using songs, games, flashcards, and stories for groups of 3-5 year olds. For older students, I provided focused tutoring to help with their schoolwork, always aiming to build their confidence and curiosity for the language.

My name is Gaia Altea Scala, I’m 21 years old, and for two years I have been supporting children in their growth as an English teacher and babysitter. For me, it's not just a job. My goal is to create a serene and joyful environment where children can learn, express themselves, and feel safe. I love making up stories, organizing educational game, and turning homework into a fun game.
My experience living with a host family in Ireland for two years, taught me the importance of patience, communication, and flexibility. I know what it means to adapt to new habits and build a relationship of trust.
I come from a close Italian family. Living with my mother and my two younger brothers taught me from an early age the value of sharing, patience and responsibility. These are exactly the family values i now try to bring into my work with children.
In my free time, I love expressing my creativity through drawing, I happily spend entire afternoons reading a good book, and I love taking the dogs for walks to explore new places. I believe curiosity and joy for life are the most beautiful gifts to share with children.
I am fascinated by China, its rich history, and the value you place on education and family. I would be honored to learn from your daily life and, in my own small way, bring a little bit of Italian sunshine and creativity into your home.
