Dear Future Host Family
Hello, my name is Viridiana Blas Canseco, and I am 28 years old. I am excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family! I currently live with my parents in the Heroic City of Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca. I studied International Relations, and a few months ago, I lived in the United States as an au pair, where I spent two wonderful years caring for children. During that time, I not only developed strong childcare skills but also learned the importance of patience, creativity, and adaptability.

I truly love working with children and creating fun and educational activities for them. Whether it’s playing, singing, dancing, or helping with their daily routines, I always do my best to make sure they are happy and safe. Seeing them grow and learn brings me so much joy!

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Marketing online. The classes are pre-recorded and flexible, so I usually dedicate a few hours on the weekends to watch videos, complete homework, and take exams. This will not interfere with my au pair duties, and I plan to complete my degree in March 2026. On weekends, I also tutor children in English, sometimes babysit my 4-year-old nephew, and assist my parents with household chores.

I have two brothers and two nephews—one is 15 years old, and the other is a 4-year-old boy. I became an aunt when I was 13 years old, and that’s when my love for children began. I love playing with them, teaching them new things in English or Spanish, and I also enjoy teaching them to be respectful toward others, nature, and animals. This brings me to the other important part of my family—our pets. We love animals in my house, which is why we currently have three dogs and four cats.

In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, inline skating, and longboarding. I’m still learning, so I’m not an expert yet, but I love dedicating some of my time to these activities. I also enjoy yoga and meditation, as they help me relax and keep both my body and mind in balance. Other things I like to do include reading, running, singing, dancing (I’ve been involved in school dances since I was little), crafting, and hiking.

I consider myself friendly, creative, sociable, responsible, and patient. I love meeting new people and discovering new places. I am sociable because I enjoy talking to others, treating people well, and respecting everyone I meet. I am also a very didactic person who loves learning new things. People often say I have a playful, adventurous, and bubbly personality.

After this program, I plan to obtain a teaching certification to become a preschool teacher in the United States. Through this program, I’ve realized that I truly enjoy working with children. My plan is to live in the U.S. because my boyfriend is an American citizen, and after the program, we will begin the necessary paperwork so I can live with him. By the way, he fully supports me in doing this program again because he knows I’ve always wanted to visit China and learn Chinese.

I want to be an Au Pair in China because I love working with children, I have experience with them, and I want to learn Chinese. I’m also really excited about the idea of being part of your family and exchanging cultures. I’m very proud of my roots, my country, and my beautiful state, which is full of culture and tradition. It makes me happy to know that I will be able to share these things with you. I am also eager to see China’s technological infrastructure, explore its beautiful natural landscapes and ancient sites, try the food, and even take some kung fu and tai chi classes.
