Childcare experience /
I have several experiences with children that have taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and how to adapt to each child’s personality and needs.
First of all, I have been working as a full-time nanny for a Korean family for the past eleven months. When I started taking care of their baby, he was only eleven months old, so I have had the chance to watch him grow and develop over this period. We have built a very strong and special relationship, and I truly love spending time with him. I take care of him on a daily basis, organize activities, play with him, prepare his meals, take him outside and make sure he feels safe, happy and comfortable. I have also become very familiar with his routine and his needs.
My relationship with the family is also very good. The parents actually wanted me to stay with them longer because they were very happy with my work and the relationship I have with their child. Unfortunately, because of my visa situation, I cannot stay in Korea with them. Although it is difficult to leave them, I am very grateful for this experience because it has taught me so much and has given me even more confidence in taking care of children.
I also have my BAFA, which is a French qualification that allows you to work as a children’s activity leader in summer camps, holiday camps and recreational centers. Thanks to this qualification, I have had the opportunity to work as an activity leader with children in summer camps and activity centers. These experiences taught me how to supervise groups of children, organize creative and fun activities, ensure their safety and, most importantly, make sure everyone feels included and enjoys themselves.
I have also done a lot of babysitting over the years, with children of different ages. One experience in particular taught me a lot about being independent and responsible. For two weeks, the parents of a young girl went on vacation, and I stayed at their home to take care of her while they were away. During those two weeks, I was responsible for her entire daily routine. I prepared her meals, took her to school, picked her up, helped her with her homework, played with her, organized activities and made sure everything went well throughout the day.
All of these experiences have helped me become more confident, responsible, patient and adaptable when taking care of children. I understand that every child is different, and I always try to create a safe, positive and fun environment where they can feel comfortable, express themselves and simply be themselves.

Letter to your future host family /
Dear future host family,
Hello! I’m very happy to meet you and to have the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I would describe myself as a kind, caring, responsible and patient person. I really love spending time with children. For me, children are our future, and I believe it is very important to take care of them, listen to them, support them and help them grow in a safe, loving and positive environment.
I absolutely love doing different activities with children and creating beautiful memories together. I enjoy going outside, discovering new places and being creative. We could go for walks, ride bikes, go to the park, have picnics, bake cookies or cakes, do arts and crafts, draw and paint, build forts, play board games, explore nature, go to museums, libraries or the zoo, and even organize little treasure hunts. I also love coming up with original activities, such as creating a mini camping night at home, organizing a little Olympics day, making homemade gifts, creating a small theatre show, doing science experiments or having a photography challenge outside!
Of course, I also believe that it is very important to respect each child’s needs, personality and mood. If they don’t feel like going outside or doing an activity, I will always respect that. Sometimes children simply need some quiet time, want to play by themselves, read a book, relax, or have a little movie night at home with some snacks. For me, being an au pair is not only about finding activities to keep children busy. It is also about listening to them, understanding them and adapting to what they need.
Communication is also very important to me when it comes to my relationship with my host family. Living together while coming from different cultures can sometimes be a big change for everyone. We may have different habits, traditions, ways of communicating and ways of seeing things. That is why I believe it is essential to communicate openly, listen to each other, respect one another and feel comfortable talking about anything.
My goal is to become a real part of your family, not just someone who takes care of your children. I would love to share your everyday life, discover your culture, learn from you and create wonderful memories together. Most importantly, I hope to build a relationship based on trust, respect, communication and lots of love.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, discovering more about your family and hopefully becoming a special part of your children’s lives.
See you soon!
