下面 7 个破冰游戏经过长期验证——既提效沟通，又能让孩子在玩中输入外语、输出自信。

1-世界地图大头针，互惠生 小朋友 分别介绍不同的城市，特别锻炼小朋友的语言组织能力，比如介绍城市从什么开始介绍啊？天气、人土风情、城市有趣的地方。
玩法升级：搭配 地图 Earth 虚拟漫游，让小朋友边讲边点选地标，沉浸式练口语与空间感。
2-城市大头针，互惠生 小朋友 分别介绍自己熟悉的城市的不同景点，同样锻炼小朋友的语言组织和规划能力。
玩法升级：搭配地图街道，大家一起线上city walk，很有可能你会发现对自己的城市都没有那么熟悉！那么干脆一起来个线下city walk吧！
3-家乡菜争霸，互惠生 小朋友介绍一道自己的家乡菜，如果大家都感兴趣，那么可以一起采购食材，一起做。（很多互惠生会带着小朋友做烘焙）
4-节庆日历共创，拿出日历，互惠生和小朋友分别介绍自己的节日，特别锻炼小朋友的讲故事能力，中秋节、端午节背后的故事大家都知道，这次可要小朋友自己英文讲哦。
5-新闻播报，小朋友播报新闻播天气预报，互惠生在旁边演绎情节，可以是自己学校的故事，也可以是刚刚新闻里面的内容重现，当然也可以随便播报。（这个需要互惠生和小朋友熟悉了以后，我们有个家庭就是通过这个游戏，后续发掘了小朋友的主持辩论兴趣，后期天天在家排练mini TED）
6-你画我猜，这个全家都可以参与，准备一个白板，每个人画，剩下的人猜！一般刚开始玩，猜物的比较多，后期可以猜一些抽象的词语（比如：和平、环保），在游戏中锻炼出两套不同语言的逻辑表达！
7-刻板印象对对碰（我演你猜），互惠生和小朋友分别演绎不同国家的人和物，大家来猜，从小接触多元化，别的小朋友去摆拍联合国，你家客厅就是一个地球村！
In over a decade of service, we’ve worked with more than 500 au pairs and host families. We’ve seen socially outgoing kids pull au pairs into play as soon as they walk in, and also witnessed the awkwardness of an entire family sitting together, struggling to say a single word.
The following 7 ice-breaking games have been tested over time—they not only boost communication efficiency but also help kids pick up foreign languages and build confidence through play.

- World Map Pushpins
The au pair and kids take turns introducing different cities on a world map. This especially trains kids’ language organization skills—for example, how to start introducing a city: weather, local customs, interesting spots, etc.
Game upgrade: Pair it with Earth map virtual tours. Kids can talk while clicking on landmarks, turning it into immersive oral practice. - City Pushpins
The au pair and kids introduce different attractions in cities they’re familiar with. This also hones kids’ language organization and planning skills.
Game upgrade: Use map street views for online city walks. You might even discover you don’t know your own city that well! Then, take it offline for a real city walk together. - Hometown Dish Showdown
The au pair and kids each introduce a hometown dish. If everyone’s interested, they can shop for ingredients and cook together. (Many au pairs love doing baking with kids!) - Festival Calendar Co-Creation
Take out a calendar, and the au pair and kids introduce their own festivals. This is great for building storytelling skills—we all know the stories behind festivals like the Mid-Autumn Festival and Dragon Boat Festival, but now it’s the kids’ turn to tell them in English! - News Broadcast
Kids report news or weather forecasts, while the au pair acts out related scenarios. They can talk about school stories, recreate news events, or just improvise. (We’ve seen one family where this game sparked the kid’s interest in hosting and debating—they even practiced mini TED talks at home daily after!) - Pictionary
The whole family can join: one person draws on a whiteboard, and the rest guess! Start with objects, then move to abstract words (e.g., peace, environmental protection). This builds logical expression in two different languages through play! - Stereotype Showdown (Act & Guess)
The au pair and kids act out people or things from different countries, and everyone guesses. Exposing kids to diversity early on means—while other kids pose for photos at “UN events”—your living room becomes a global village!
